Holiday Inn Express Parking Structure
Forty-five-year-old parking structure in need of an upgrade to complement a recently renovated hotel.
After years of exposure to harsh weather conditions and wear from parking patrons, the waterproofing systems were compromised and the parking structure had suffered major structural damage. Cartwright AEC designed enhanced waterproofing systems and structural repairs to address these concerns. A roof was also designed and placed over the upper level to protect the structure and provide more premium parking for the hotel guests. The design of the structural upgrades offered the client the opportunity to upgrade the aesthetics of the building as well. The architectural team came with a fresh design to clad the structure in decorative panels and provide a more modern look while maintaining the open area required for proper ventilation.
